Li Auto has officially launched its new all-electric SUV model, the Li i6, further strengthening its presence in the mid-to-high-end all-electric market. The new car takes "shark" as its design inspiration, balancing innovative styling with space utilization. It starts at 249,800 yuan and has a CLTC range of up to 720 kilometers. It is equipped with a self-developed 5C ultra-fast charging lithium iron phosphate battery. Li Auto stated: "The Li i6 does not follow a low-price strategy."
The i6 has made breakthroughs in battery, aerodynamics, space, intelligent configuration and charging experience. It is equipped with a new generation of 5C lithium iron phosphate battery, which can provide a 500-kilometer range after a 10-minute charge. Under the CLTC standard, the comprehensive range reaches 720 kilometers. The interior space is over 3.3 meters in longitudinal usable space, featuring a 16.8-inch head-up display, 3K dual screens and a 21.4-inch 3K rear screen. The car is equipped with a 22-speaker Dolby 7.3.4 surround sound system, and the seats can be fully reclined to form a bed.
The i6 adopts a design language inspired by sharks, with a body size of 4.95 meters in length, 1.93 meters in width and 1.65 meters in height, and a wheelbase of 3 meters. The design team emphasizes that most current pure electric SUVs follow the style of traditional fuel vehicles. The "shark" design of the i6 aims to establish a differentiated visual identity. In terms of contour, two-tone body and low-profile front face, it highlights the visual tension of both fluidity and power, setting it apart from the mainstream designs of existing pure electric SUVs.
The low wind resistance design not only enhances the technological appearance but also brings actual energy consumption benefits. It is reported that the high-speed energy consumption of the i6 can be reduced by 20%, with a net power consumption of 13.6 kWh per 100 kilometers
In the cabin experience, the i6 continues to strengthen family and multi-functional scenarios. The new model is equipped with a 16.8-inch front screen and a 21.4-inch rear 3K screen, supporting the MindGPT large model of Ideal Assistant. The car is equipped with up to 22 speakers, providing a "mobile cinema" level audio-visual experience.
The innovative space utilization design allows the vehicle to be transformed into two standard single beds at any time, and a 1.83-meter occupant can lie flat without obstruction. Details such as adjustable table boards, wall lamps, and i-person privacy spaces further enhance comfort and fun.
The i6 offers rear-wheel drive single-motor and all-wheel drive dual-motor versions, with maximum powers of 250kW and 400kW respectively. The entire series is equipped with self-developed silicon carbide motors, with a comprehensive power consumption of 13.6 kWh per 100 kilometers. Even at extremely low battery levels, the vehicle can maintain a stable cruise speed of 120 km/h.
The i6's 5C lithium iron phosphate battery achieves industry-leading charging efficiency, taking only 15 minutes to charge from 10% to 95%, significantly reducing user waiting time. Compared to the technical bottleneck of traditional lithium iron phosphate batteries where the internal resistance may reach 15 times that at normal temperature in low-temperature environments, the i6 effectively solves this problem through ultra-low internal resistance design. Even at extremely low battery levels, the vehicle can still maintain a cruising speed of 120 km/h, and the acceleration performance difference of the all-wheel drive version at 20% battery level is no more than 0.5 seconds.
The vehicle is also equipped with the most efficient thermal management system in its class, with an efficiency of over 3. By integrating the motor and battery thermal management systems, it can increase the range by more than 50 kilometers in low-temperature environments.
